…bodies affirming home. reflections on migration, bi-cultural identity, and (be)longing. As Director of Education at New Art Center, I was able to facilitate wonderful collaborations, such as this one in 2024 with the Indigenous People’s Day Committee of Newton, MA. New Art and IPD worked together to showcase indigenous photographers Dr. Rob Adelman and Scott Strong Hawk Foster and their work capturing the regal beauty and cultural traditions on display at regional pow wows. We also took part in the annual kayaking event along the Quinobequin, also known as the Charles River. The indigenous Massachusett named it Quinobequin, meaning "meandering" or "meandering still water."

University of California Riverside, California Museum of Photography, 2007-2010
While Director of Digital Studio and Outreach Education at University of California Riverside, California Museum of Photography, my team designed participatory projects that engaged communities in the process of artmaking and self-reflection. Our teen documentary film program explored identity, community and the global village. Collective portraiture projects demystified the museum as well as archaic photographic processes for diverse members of our Riverside CA community.
Projects: O1SJ Digital Murals, MyGlobalVillage Summer Sessions in collaboration with Human Rights Watch International Film Festival, Off the Grid and -Americans, curated by Lisa Henry featuring the tintype photographs of Keliy Anderson Staley, A Sense of Place: Remembering Riverside’s Chinatowns exhibition, Yo: Youth Media Showcase, 24 Hrs in Joshua Tree National Park annual photographic excursions.
